Easy Patio Plants for People Who Aren’t Good at Gardening 😅
I love the idea of pretty flowers and plants around a patio…
…but I’m also realistic enough to know I’m probably going to forget to water something eventually 😅
So I started looking for outdoor plants that are:
👉 easy to keep alive
👉 beginner-friendly
👉 don’t require constant attention
Because apparently not everyone was born with a natural gardening talent 😂
🟡 Snake Plants
These are almost impossible to kill honestly.
They:
- handle heat well
- don’t need constant watering
- still look modern and nice on patios
👉 Great for people who want plants without a ton of maintenance.
🔵 Geraniums
These seem to do really well in pots and add a lot of color without being super difficult to manage.
Plus they:
- love sunshine
- look good on patios
- don’t require complicated care
🟢 Lavender
Lavender smells amazing and actually handles dry conditions pretty well once established.
Bonus:
👉 mosquitoes apparently aren’t huge fans of it either 😅

Apparently regular dirt and good potting soil are VERY different things 😂

- drains properly
- keeps roots healthier
- helps plants last longer
